Soil : Clay and gravel on the hillside.

Average vineyard age : 20 years.

Existe en Red, White, Rosé and Clairet.



Château de Marsan Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux Red

Grape variety : 60% Merlot / 40% Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaking : Traditional winemaking method. Before filling vats, the harvest is detemmed. Long macerations under strict temperature control.

Ageing : 9 to 12 months in oak barrels.

Tasting notes : This pleasant full bodied well balanced wine can be characterized by fruity smell and smouth-silky tanins. Ready to drink even young, with red grilled meat, it is although suitable for dishies with sauce and mature cheese after a few years cellering.

Château de Marsan Bordeaux White

Grape variety : 50% Sémillon / 50% Sauvignon.

Winemaking : Harvest is pressed after a few hours of cold maceration with selected yeast and kept cold  8/10 days.

Ageing : 4 months before bottling.

Tasting notes : A brilliant light yellow dress, a delicate and fruity nose, precede a supple, round, aromatic and very lively mouth.

Château de Marsan Bordeaux Rosé

Grape variety : 20% Merlot / 40% Cabernet Franc / 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winemaking : Harvest is pressed after a few hours of cold maceration with selected yeast and kept cold 8/10 days.

Ageing : 3 months in tanks. The wine is bottled in February.

Tasting notes : The colour is a light pastel pink, the nose is fine, powerful and complex, with white fruits notes like peach, litchi. The mouth reminds of red berries such as currants and the wild strawberries. An attractive light but round mouth with a fresh and young finale.

Château de Marsan Bordeaux Clairet

Grape variety : 60% Merlot / 10% Cabernet Franc / 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winemaking : After 72 hours of maceration of red grapes, part of the mash is removed: bleeding. Fermentation continues with selected under strict temperature control yeasts.

Ageing : 3 months in tanks. The wine is bottled in February.

Tasting notes : Cherry raspberry very deep robe, intense nose, ripe and pure fruit with sweet floral notes, fleshy mouth, frank, fruity, strong, with a good persistence of flavor and good freshness.
